Thank you for your interest in becoming a race ambassador for TCC.
We believe this referral program may be a great way to reach out to a wider audience of running enthusiasts and endurance athletes in your individual circles. If you elect to become an ambassador you’ll become an important part of our grass roots promotional efforts here in the US and Canada and you’ll receive promotional material to assist you with your efforts. You’ll also reap the potential financial benefits of our referral program as spelled out in the terms below.
There are only 2 requirements to becoming an ambassador:
You must be a TCC alumni.
You must be intending to attend The Coastal Challenge in some capacity in the next two year period (2009-2010)
The terms of the referral program are as follows:
2 successful registrations/referrals will reduce your registration by 20%
4
successful registrations/referrals will reduce your registration by
50%.
6
successful registrations/referrals and you’ll receive a free
entry.
Anything over 6 but less than 10 and we’ll pay
out 10% of those additional registrations just like we would for an
overseas agency fee.
Anything 10 or over and we’ll increase
that to 15 % .
(For instance for 8 referrals/registrations you’ll
get free registration plus $ 440.00. 10 referrals and you’ll get
free registration plus $ 1320.00 and so on based on the present
registration fee of $ 2200.00)
Registrations
would be considered both competitors and guests. For instance,
a runner and guest would count as 2 registrations.
Referrals/registrations would only count with people who have
never before been a part of TCC as competitor, guests or
volunteer.
For
simplicity's sake cancelled registrations or roll over registrations
would not be considered a “successful registration” and would be
subtracted from the total number of any person's
registrations/referrals. (This would avoid the hassle of keeping
track or trying to figure out if a person who has rolled over their
registration is actually coming back the next year. If they don't
show up the year they’ve registered (placed a deposit) it
nullifies them in this arrangement) The exception to this: if they
cancel so late in the process that they actually forfeit their
registration fee to TCC then it would still be considered a
successful referral.
We
will carry over successful registrations/referrals for 2 years so
that there is more time given to achieve results. (For instance if
you were to only get 1 person this year we would apply it toward
next year for discounts or commission payments.)
Finally if you were to work on behalf of the race in getting referrals/registrations but could not race for whatever reason we will turn your unused registration back into a monetary figure instead. (For instance, if you refer 6 people but choose not to race you would receive $ 1950.00 or EARLY REGISTRATION FEE from us.)
